Orthodox-Amman (Premier League) inked 27-year old international 190cm guard Ashraf Al-Hendi for upcoming season. It is actually his comeback to Amman as he has played here before. He played most recently at Al Wihdat (Premier League). In 21 games he recorded 12.0ppg, 3.1rpg, 2.0apg and 1.0spg last season. He helped them to win the league title. Great season indeed as he was voted to Asia-Basket.com All-Jordanian Premier League Third Team.
The previous (2020-21) season he played at Orthodox where in 10 Premier League games he averaged 14.6ppg, 5.4rpg, 2.8apg and 2.4spg (in top 2) in that year. Al-Hendi also represented Jordan at the FIBA Asia Cup in Jakarta (Indonesia) this year. His team got to the Semifinals and his stats at that event were 6 games: 1.7ppg.
