Olesia Malashenko (ex Budivelnyk) agreed terms with Orthodox- July 29, 2022

Malashenko played most recently at Budivelnyk in Ukrainian Superleague. She managed to play in three leagues in two countries last year (!!!). In two Superleague games she recorded 12.5ppg, 6.0rpg, 3.5apg, 1.0spg and 1.0bpg. Malashenko also played for Villeneuve D'Ascq in French LFB where in two games she averaged 3.0ppg, 2.0rpg and 1.0spg. She also played 2 games in Eurocup where she had just 2.5ppg, 3.0rpg and 1.0apg. The other team she played that season for was Interkhim (Superleague). In 16 games she got impressive 23.4ppg, 9.1rpg, 4.8apg and 1.6spg. Malashenko has been also a member of Ukrainian international program for some years. She has regularly played for Ukrainian senior team since 2009 and previously for U20 National Team back in 2011. Malashenko represented Ukraine at the Qualifications to European Championships (FIBA EuroBasket) 2017 six years ago. Her stats at that event were 4 games: 13.3ppg, 6.5rpg, 1.0apg, FGP: 61.8%, 3PT: 16.7%, FT: 88.9%. She is a very experienced player. Malashenko has played also professionally in Belgium (Namur and Castors Braine), Italy (Ragusa), Russia (Chevakata), Turkey (Mersin BSB, Edirne, Mersin MBK and Adana) and France (Gazelles and Arras). She won Belgian League championship title in 2009, 2018 and 2019 and the cup in 2009 and 2019.
Among many awards she was voted to Eurobasket.com All-Belgian League Honorable Mention in 2020.
