Al Wihdat - Orthodox 91-69
Al Wihdat celebrated Premier League title. They knocked down Orthodox in Game 3 to complete the sweep of the championship series. The hosts trailed by 1 point after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 14-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 91-69. Al Wihdat dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Orthodox's 32. They outrebounded Orthodox 49-32 including a 18-7 advantage in offensive rebounds. Al Wihdat looked well-organized offensively handing out 31 assists. It was a great evening for American point guard Anthony Miles (184-1989, college: Lamar) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 15 points, 7 rebounds and 14 assists. The former international forward Zane Najdawi (201-1996, college: Citadel) helped adding 15 points and 7 rebounds. Five Al Wihdat players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was international guard Amin Abuhawwas (190-1994, college: Mars Hill) with 25 points and 5 rebounds and the former international forward Zaid Abbas (203-1983) scored 9 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.
