Orthodox - Al Ahli 81-62

Orthodox held off Al Ahli to open the lead. Orthodox forced 25 Al Ahli turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists. International guard Amin Abuhawwas (190-1994, college: Mars Hill) stepped up and scored 26 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners and international guard Malek Kanaan (182-1993, college: W.Valley JC) chipped in 19 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists. Abuhawwas is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Orthodox's coach Samer Nino used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side the former international guard Mousa Alawadi (188-1985) responded with 21 points and international forward Ahmad Alhamarsheh (197-86) scored 15 points and 9 rebounds.

Al Wihdat fired past Al Jubaiha to ensure 1-0 advantage. Al Wihdat forced 20 Al Jubaiha turnovers. American point guard Anthony Miles (184-1989, college: Lamar) nailed 23 points and 7 assists for the winning side and international center Yousef Abuwazaneh (201-1993) accounted for 6 points and 14 rebounds. The former international Khaled Abuaboud (202-1997) came up with 7 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists and American power forward Gregoryshon Magee (211-1990, college: USA) added 14 points and 5 rebounds respectively for Al Jubaiha in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.
