The 34-year old player had a double-double of 28 points and 17 rebounds, while his team crushed Al Ahli (#3, 7-3) with 24-point margin 98-74. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. It allowed Orthodox to consolidate first place in the Jordanian Premier League. Orthodox has a very good season and are considered to have a run for the championship title. They improved their record to 9-1. In the team's last game Thomas had a remarkable three three-pointers out of 6 attempts. He turned to be Orthodox's top player in his first season with the team. Former University of Cincinnati star has very solid stats this year. Thomas is in league's top in points (5th best: 17.3ppg), rebounds (6th best: 10.1rpg) and averages impressive 1.9bpg and 53.9% FGP. The second best player in last round's games was 26-year old American James Currington III (201-F-95) of Kofer Yoba. Currington III had a very good evening with a double-double of 25 points and 15 rebounds. Of course Kofer Yoba cruised to a 96-87 relatively comfortable win over Al Jalil (#6, 0-9). Despite this victory Kofer Yoba slide down in the standings to 5th position. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 3-7 record. Currington III is a newcomer at Kofer Yoba, but is already one of team's top players. Third on the list of top players last round was another Kofer Yoba's star - former international Ibrahim Hamati (187-SF-96). Hamati got into 30-points club by scoring exactly 30 points in the last round. He went also for nine rebounds and eleven assists. He was another key player of Kofer Yoba, helping his team with a 96-87 win against Al Jalil (#6, 0-9). The chances of Kofer Yoba not to end season at such low position in the league, however are less than slim as they have already lost 7 games, recording just three victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Hamati could try to bring Kofer Yoba's a little bit higher in the standings. Hamati has individually a great season in Jordan. After 10 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 17.8ppg (7th best) and assists with 6.9apg (2nd best). Other top performing players last week: 4.
