Shaquille Thomas
29-year old forward Shaquille Thomas (201-F-92) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Al Ahli and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 8.
He had a double-double of 29 points and 10 rebounds, while his team edged out Al Jubaiha (#4, 3-7) 76-73. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. Thanks to this victory Al Ahli moved-up to the 3rd position in Jordanian league. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Al Ahli will need more victories to improve their 7-3 record. In the team's last game Thomas had a remarkable 63.2% from 2-point range. He just recently signed at Al Ahli, being already a very valuable addition to the team. University of Cincinnati graduate has very impressive stats this year. Thomas is in league's top in points (6th best: 18.4ppg), rebounds (6th best: 9.7rpg) and averages solid 51.2% FGP.
Second best performed player last round was James Currington III (201-F-95) of Kofer Yoba. He is American forward in his first season at Kofer Yoba. In the last game Currington III recorded impressive double-double of 22 points and 23 rebounds. Bad luck as Kofer Yoba lost that game 94-101 to the higher-ranked Orthodox (#1, 9-1). This loss caused Kofer Yoba to drop to 5th position in the standings. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 3-7 record. Currington III is a newcomer at Kofer Yoba and quickly became one of team's most reliable players.
Third place about best performers goes to guard Amin Abuhawwas (190-G-94) of league's leader Orthodox. Abuhawwas got into 30-points club by scoring 33 points in the last round. He was a key player of Orthodox, leading his team to a 101-94 win against the lower-ranked Kofer Yoba (#5, 3-7). Many experts and fans count Orthodox as a contender for championship title. Another victory and another confirmation that they may be right. Just look at their record: 9 victories and only one lost game. They are currently at the very top of the standings. Abuhawwas has a great season in Jordan. After only 8 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 26.1ppg (best scorer). He also has 2.3spg and FGP: 73.0%. Amin Abuhawwas has also Jordanian passport and can play in the league with a status of domestic player. Abuhawwas attended one of camps at Eurobasket Summer League on his way to pro basketball.

The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3*(REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4*(2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3*(2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3*(3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
