Jordanian Premier League round 8 best performance: James Currington III

American Forward James Currington III (201-F-95) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Kofer Yoba, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 8.
The 26-year old player had a double-double of 22 points and 23 rebounds, while his team in a lost game to Orthodox (#1, 7-1) 94-101. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. Former Mars Hill College star Abuhawwas is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market.

Third on the list of top players last round was American forward Shaquille Thomas (201-F-92) of league's second-best Al Ahli. Thomas scored 29 points and grabbed ten rebounds. He was a key player of Al Ahli, leading his team to a 76-73 win against the lower-ranked Al Jubaiha (#5, 2-6). Al Ahli is closer and closer to top of the standings. They will still need more victories. But 7-1 record is not that bad... Thomas has a great season in Jordan. After only 6 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 18.3ppg (5th best), rebounds with 9.2rpg (7th best) and assists with 3.3apg (8th best).
