Magee's double-double lands him Hoops Agents Player of the Week award- January 20, 2022
He had a double-double of 27 points and 14 rebounds, while his team crushed, the league's bottom-ranked team Al Jalil (#6, 0-7) with 24-point margin 89-65. Al Jubaiha maintains the 5th position in Jordanian league. Too late to salvage the team, which is currently ranked such low. They already lost 5 games and recorded just two victories. Magee turned to be Al Jubaiha's top player in his first season with the team. University of South Alabama graduate has very impressive stats this year. Magee is in league's top in points (2nd best: 24.1ppg), rebounds (3rd best: 11.9rpg) and averages solid 3.0bpg and 75.0% FGP. Worth to mention Magee played also at Eurobasket Summer League, which helped him get the job in pro basketball. Second best performed player last round was Quintin Lee (180-PG-92) of Al Jalil. He is American guard in his first season at Al Jalil. In the last game Lee recorded impressive 27 points, 2 rebounds and 3 assists. Bad luck as Al Jalil lost that game 65-89 to slightly higher-ranked Al Jubaiha (#5, 2-5). Al Jalil are still at the very bottom. 7 lost games are too many considering they did not win any game. Lee is a newcomer at Al Jalil and quickly became one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 22.8ppg (#4). Third place about best performers goes to Ibrahim Hamati (187-SF-96) of Kofer Yoba (#4). Hamati showcased his all-around game by recording 20 points, five rebounds and twelve assists (!!!) in the last round. Despite Hamati's great performance Kofer Yoba lost 72-85 to #2 ranked Al Ahli. But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates especially in such crucial game. Kofer Yoba can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have rather bad season and 2-5 record places them close to the bottom of the standings. Hamati has individually a great season in Jordan. After only 7 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 15.1ppg (9th best) and assists with 5.7apg (4th best). Other top performing players last week: 4. Shaquille Thomas (201-F-92) of Al Ahli - 22 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists 5. Ahmad Obeid (200-F-90) of Al Ahli - 20 points, 13 rebounds and 2 assists 6. James Currington III (201-F-95) of Kofer Yoba - 13 points, 15 rebounds and 3 assists 7. Jordan Al-Dasuqi (188-G-94) of Al Ahli - 15 points, 12 rebounds and 6 assists 8. Yousef Shatat (210-C-94) of Al Jubaiha - 12 points, 5 rebounds and 9 assists 9. Mitri Bosheh (180-PG-96) of Al Ahli - 15 points, 5 rebounds and 11 assists 10.
