Premier League Round 6: Al Wihdat beat Kofer Yoba in the most crucial game of the week

There are only two more rounds left in the Regular Season in Premier League. Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.

An exciting game was played in Irbid. Second ranked Al Wihdat faced 4th ranked Kofer Yoba. Guests from Amman (5-1) smashed host Kofer Yoba (2-4) 98-58. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Kofer Yoba. Al Wihdat forced 21 Kofer Yoba turnovers and outrebounded them 52-27 including a 22-8 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 33 assists comparing to just 15 passes made by Kofer Yoba's players. The best player for the winners was the former international guard Ashraf Al-Hendi (190-95) who scored 30 points and 7 assists. International center Mohammad Hussein (210-90) chipped in 17 points and 16 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was the former international Ibrahim Hamati (187-96) who recorded 12 points and 7 assists. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Al Wihdat keeps a position of league leader, which they share with Orthodox and Al Ahli. Kofer Yoba at the other side keeps the fourth place with four games lost. Al Jalil's coach gave up on the game allowing to play twelve players seeing no chance for a win. Defending champion (5-1) keeps a position of league leader, which they share with Orthodox and Al Wihdat. Al Jalil at the other side still closes the standings with six games lost. Al Ahli will play against Kofer Yoba (#4) in Irbid in the next round. Al Jalil will play on the road against Al Jubaiha and hopes to get finally their first victory.

In the last game of round 6 Al Jubaiha was crushed by Orthodox in Amman 102-83.

There was no surprise in Amman where 5th ranked Al Jubaiha (1-5) was crushed by third ranked Orthodox (5-1) 102-83. Orthodox players were unselfish on offense dishing 40 assists comparing to just 24 passes made by Al Jubaiha's players. It was a good game for Senegalese forward Ibrahima Thomas (213-87, college: Cincinnati, agency: BIG) who led his team to a victory with 24 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists. International guard Amin Abuhawwas (190-94, college: Mars Hill) contributed with 22 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. Abuhawwas is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. American power forward Gregoryshon Magee (211-90, college: USA) replied with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 12 rebounds and the former international swingman Nader Suleiman (187-92) added 15 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals in the effort for Al Jubaiha. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
