Premier League Round 6: Al Wihdat beat Kofer Yoba in the most crucial game of the week- January 15, 2022

Defending champion (5-1) keeps a position of league leader, which they share with Orthodox and Al Wihdat. Al Jalil at the other side still closes the standings with six games lost. Al Ahli will play against Kofer Yoba (#4) in Irbid in the next round. Al Jalil will play on the road against Al Jubaiha and hopes to get finally their first victory. International center Mohammad Hussein (210-90) chipped in a double-double by scoring 17 points and 16 rebounds. Five Al Wihdat players scored in double figures. It was a good game for Senegalese forward Ibrahima Thomas (213-87, college: Cincinnati, agency: BIG) who led his team to a victory with 24 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists. International guard Amin Abuhawwas (190-94, college: Mars Hill) contributed with 22 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. Abuhawwas is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. American power forward Gregoryshon Magee (211-90, college: USA) replied with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 12 rebounds and the former international swingman Nader Suleiman (187-92) added 15 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals in the effort for Al Jubaiha. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Orthodox have a solid four-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Al Ahli and Al Wihdat. Al Jubaiha lost fourth consecutive game.
