Antoine Mason's triple-double lands him Hoops Agents Player of the Week award

29-year old guard Antoine Mason (191-G-92, agency: Interperformances) had a great game in the last round for league's best team Al Wihdat and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 4.
He recorded a triple-double of 31 points adding also 12 rebounds and 10 assists, while his team crushed Al Jubaiha (#4, 1-3) with 16-point margin 94-78. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. It allowed Al Wihdat to take over top position in the Jordanian league. They maintain a perfect record without any lost game in the league. The season is still on an early stage, but Al Wihdat already had a very good start winning all 4 without losing a single one. In the team's last game Mason had a remarkable 52.0% from 2-point range. He turned to be Al Wihdat's top player in his first season with the team. Auburn University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Mason is in league's top in points (2nd best: 24.5ppg) and averages solid 54.9% FGP. Worth to mention Mason played also at Eurobasket Summer League, which helped him get the job in pro basketball.

Second best performed player last round was James Currington III (201-F-95) of Kofer Yoba. He is American forward in his first season at Kofer Yoba. In the last game Currington III recorded impressive double-double of 31 points and 23 rebounds. Of course he led Kofer Yoba to another comfortable win outscoring Al Jalil (#6, 0-4) 82-60. This victory allowed Kofer Yoba to leave bottom place moving a little bit up to 5th position in the standings. 3 lost games are too many comparing to just one victory Kofer Yoba managed to get this year. Currington III is a newcomer at Kofer Yoba and quickly became one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to forward Gregoryshon Magee (211-F/C-90) of Al Jubaiha (#4). Magee got into 30-points club by scoring 34 points in the last round. He went also for nine rebounds . Despite Magee's great performance Al Jubaiha lost 78-94 to #1 ranked Al Wihdat. But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates especially in such crucial game. Al Jubaiha can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have rather bad season and 1-3 record places them close to the bottom of the standings. Magee has individually a great season in Jordan. After only 4 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 27.5ppg (best scorer) and rebounds with 11.5rpg (2nd best). Magee attended one of camps at Eurobasket Summer League on his way to pro basketball.
