Al Jubaiha - Al Jalil 79-61 The game in Al Jubaiha was also worth to mention about. Al Jalil played at the court of Al Jubaiha. Al Jubaiha did not have too big problems and got a relatively easy victory 79-61. Al Jubaiha dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Al Jalil's 26. They outrebounded Al Jalil 50-31 including a 37-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. Al Jubaiha players were unselfish on offense dishing 26 assists comparing to just 13 passes made by Al Jalil's players. They brought some defensive toughness making 11 blocks. Al Jalil was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. American power forward Gregoryshon Magee (211-90, college: USA) notched a double-double by scoring 27 points, 18 rebounds and 9 blocks (on 12-of-15 shooting from the field) to lead the effort and the former international Khaled Abuaboud (202-97) supported him with 15 points and 10 rebounds. Magee is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Even 31 points by American point guard Quintin Lee (180-92, college: S.Arkansas) did not help to save the game for Al Jalil. Power forward Mahmoud Mansour (-87) added 8 points and 10 rebounds for the guests. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Al Jubaiha will play against Al Ahli in Amman in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Al Jalil will play on the road against Al Wihdat in Amman to get more than just one victory in their record. The best player for the winners was the former international guard Jordan Al-Dasuqi (188-94, college: LSSU) who scored 25 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists. The former international forward Ahmad Obeid (200-90) chipped in 19 points and 8 rebounds. Five Al Ahli players scored in double figures. American forward James Currington III (201-95, college: SE Louisiana) produced a double-double by scoring 22 points and 15 rebounds and international Ibrahim Hamati (187-96) added 15 points and 5 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Kofer Yoba's coach rotated eleven players and allowed the starting five to rest. Al Ahli will meet at home Al Jubaiha in the next round. Kofer Yoba will play against Orthodox in Amman and hope to win that game. American guard Antoine Mason (191-92, college: Auburn, agency: Interperformances) had a double-double by scoring 24 points, 6 rebounds and 13 assists to lead the charge for the winners and international center Mohammad Hussein (210-90) chipped in 24 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists during the contest. Mason is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Al Wihdat players scored in double figures. International center Mahmoud Hazaymeh (205-2) responded with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 15 rebounds and Senegalese forward Ibrahima Thomas (213-87, college: Cincinnati, agency: BIG) scored 20 points and 6 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Al Wihdat is looking forward to face Al Jalil in Irbid in the next round. Orthodox will play at home against Kofer Yoba and is hoping to prove to their fans that the loss was just an accident.
