Orthodox Amman (Premier League) strengthened their roster with addition of 28-year old international guard Malek Kanaan (182cm-81kg-93, college: W.Valley JC) for season 2021-22.


It is actually his comeback to Amman as he has played here before. Kanaan played last season at Al Jubaiha in the Premier League.

In 14 games he recorded 8.4ppg, 4.2rpg, 4.6apg and 1.0spg. He helped them to make it to the semifinals.

Kanaan has been also a member of Jordanian international program for some years.


He has regularly played for Jordanian senior team since 2016 and previously for U18 National Team in 2010.

Kanaan represented Jordan at the FIBA Asia Cup in Lebanon four years ago. Kanaan's team won Bronze and his stats at that event were 4 games: 0pts.
He has played previously for Al Ahli.

Kanaan won Jordanian League championship title in 2019.
He attended West Valley College until 2014 and it will be his eighth season as a professional player.
