Kai James

Al Fuheis (D1) agreed terms with 26-year old American center Kai James (196cm-95, college: FSU) for new 2021-22 season. James joins another USA player Chelsea Hopkins who is already in the roster.

She has played for the last two seasons at Gran Canaria in Spanish LF Endesa. In 32 games she had 11.4ppg, 10.1rpg (#3 in the league) and 1.3apg last season. 2020-21 was a great year as she was named to Eurobasket.com All-Spanish LFB Honorable Mention and League Player of the Week (3 times).

In 2017 she was drafted by New York Liberty (WNBA) in third round (34th overall).

She attended Florida State University and it will be her fifth season in pro basketball.
She represented USA at the World Championships U17 in Amsterdam (Holland) nine years ago. Her team won Gold and her stats at that event were 8 games: 2.9ppg, 2.5rpg.

James has played also professionally in Belarus (Tsmoki-Minsk), Poland (Lublin) and Turkey (Canik Belediye and Nesibe).

The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others she won Belarusian League championship title in 2018. She was voted to Eurobasket.com All-Belarusian League 1st Team back in 2018.
