A League newcomer Zaza Pachulia Basketball Academy strengthened their roster with addition of experienced 37-year old Jordanian ex-international guard Rasheim Wright (192-91kg-81, college: of District of Columbia). He has a double citizenship as he also holds American passport.
He will be joining a team composed mostly of young Georgian talent and will surely bring much needed experience to the squad.
Wright played in the summer at Guaiqueries in Venezuelan LPB league. In 9 games he recorded 10.9ppg, 3.3rpg and 3.4apg. The last season Wright played at CS Antonine (Division 2) in league where in 22 games he averaged impressive 19.4ppg, 3.2rpg, 6.3apg and 1.7spg.
Among other achievements Wright's team won Libyan Cup in 2014. He received also Asia-Basket.com All-Asian Club Championships 1st Team award back in 2013.
Wright represented Jordan at the West Asia Basketball Championships in Amman (Jordan) two years ago.
He is a very experienced player. Thanks to Wright's pro career he managed to play on four different continents (Europe, Asia, Africa and of course North America) in fourteen different countries. Wright has played previously professionally in Argentina, Bahrain, Bosnia, Iraq (Al Karkh and Zakho), Iran (Melli Haffari Ahvaz), Mexico, Morocco (IRT Tanger), Philippines, Qatar (Al Gharafa), Saudi Arabia (Al Fateh), Tunisia (AS Hammamet), Turkey (Istanbul BBSK), Jordan (Al Riyadi and Ittihad Schools) and Libya (Al Nasr).
