 Fastlink snatches title of 2005/2006 Excellent League for the third time
Fastlink managed to make their third consecutive win over Riyadi-Aramex 100-91 at Prince Hamza hall and thus were crowned the champions of the league for the third time in a row.
In their first showdown, Riadyi defeated Fastlink 79-70 but the latter succeeded in downing them two additional times 85-81, and 96-88.
The fourth game, which was held on April 25th, entertained a possibility of being the final one should Fastlink pull it off and defeat their traditional rivals, which they did.
The beginning was so fast from the both team,Each team were scoring equaly,Ayman Dies & Adam Parada were so effective under the baskets from Fastlink,While Wesam Sour & Zaid Al Khas were the most poins scorers in the 1st quarter from Al Riyadi/Aramex which ended for them 30-25.
Jamie Watson & Prentice McGruder made the score margin bigger to make it 10 37-27 in the beginning of the 2nd quarter before Adam Parada replied whith the best ball in the game,Ashraf Samara did a good quarter along side with Damien Cantrell who succeeded to score from all the ranges,Moussa Basheer was doing his job cempletely in offense which lets him to score good point,Jamie Watson put back the score by 9 at the last of the 2nd quarter for Al Riyadi/Aramex.
The 3rd quarter was the big title,Enver Soobzokov scored 3 consecutive 3-pts shots to turn things to zero again,Sam Daghls,Damien Cantrell & Adam Parada scored many points in this quarter but Prentice McGruder and Jamie Watson were on time to reply on most of the balls with the help of Wesam Sous and Zaid Al Khas but that did'nt help them to win this quarter which was for the blues for the 1st time 77-75.
The game became tied so many times in the 4th quarter,But after Jamie Watson was fouled out,Fastlink controled the game more and more,Sam Daghlas (197-G-79, agency: Rhonda Price, college: Midwestern St.) led his players to leadat last by 9 points which was enough to give them the league championship for the 3rd consecutive times.
