ASU clinch Premier League title - May 10, 2011

ASU - Aramex 77:73

ASU are Jordanian Premier League champions. They held off Aramex in the decisive fifth game of the championship series. ASU previously claimed the Jordanian Cup title. Mousa Alawadi (192-G/F-85) provided 19 points to pace ASU.
Sani Sakakini (204-C-88) scored 9 points in the opening frame to keep Aramex in charge. The visitors earned a 21:16 lead at the first break. ASU managed to narrow the margin to just a single point at halftime 35:36. Mousa Alawadi stepped up for the hosts in the third term. He unloaded 10 points and ASU pulled in front. Aramex did not surrender and erased the deficit to take a 5-point buffer in the final stanza. But Wesam Al-Sous (183-G-83) hit two triples to carry ASU to a tough victory at the end. Wesam Al-Sous and Abdullah Abuqoura (202-C-84) finished with 14 points each for the winners. Malek Khashan (185-G-85) answered with game-high 20 points for Aramex. Sani Sakakini provided 19 points in the loss.

ASU clinch Cup title - Feb 12, 2011

ASU clinched the Jordanian Cup title. They prevailed against Riyadi Aramex in the title game. It was a close battle from start to finish. ASU secured a 16:15 lead after a tough battle in the starting term. ASU stretched the margin in the second period. They arrived at halftime up by 5 points 33:28. Mousa Alawadi (192-G/F-85) helped ASU surge in front in the third term. ASU rallied to a comfortable 14-point advantage 63:49. But Riyadi refused to surrender. Malek Khashan (185-G-85) and Sani Sakakini (204-C-88) dragged Aramex within 8 points midway through the frame. Riyadi got even closer in the final minutes but ASU stayed firm and escaped with a narrow win at the end.
Mousa Alawadi stepped up with 26 points to lead all scorers. Sani Sakakini responded with 21 points for Aramex.
Orthodox clinched the third position in the Cup as they overcame Arena 98:74.
