Toyota A. outrebounded Denso I. 43-32 including 21 on the offensive glass. The best player for the winners was the former international point guard Mai Yamamoto (163-1999) who scored 22 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Nigerian center Amaka Okonkwo (186-2002) chipped in a double-double by scoring 10 points and 15 rebounds. The former international center Maki Takada (185-1989) produced 12 points and 6 rebounds and point guard Ami Kimura (165-1999) added 8 points respectively for the hosts. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
