Japanese WJBL round 14 best performance: Channon Fluker

American Center Channon Fluker (193-C-1997) had a great game in the last round for Oda Haneda Vickies, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 14.
The 28-year old player had a double-double of 28 points and 14 rebounds, while her team crushed Chanson V-M (#6, 12-16) with 24-point margin 94-70. Haneda V. maintains the 8th position in Japanese WJBL. Too late to salvage the team, which is currently ranked such low. They already lost 25 games and recorded just three victories. In the team's last game Fluker had a remarkable 66.7% from 2-point range. She turned to be Haneda V.'s top player in her first season with the team. Former California State University Northridge star has very solid stats this year. Fluker is league's best scorer averaging so far 15.6ppg. Fluker is in league's top in rebounds (3rd best: 10.1rpg) and averages impressive 56.2% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was young American Ashten Prechtel (196-F/C-2001) of Eneos Sunflowers. Prechtel had a very good evening with a double-double of 27 points and 11 rebounds. It was enough for Eneos S. to edge slightly higher-ranked Fujitsu RW (#3, 16-12) 78-75. Eneos S.'s 5th position in the standings has not changed. Her team lost some distance to top teams. But a 15-13 record is not bad and everything may still change. Prechtel is a newcomer at Eneos S., but is already one of team's top players. She belongs to the best scorers in the league with 12.6ppg (#5). She also registered 8.8 boards per game.

Third on the list of top players last round was Canadian forward Niyah Becker (188-F-2000) of Aishin AW Wings (#7). Becker showcased her all-around game by recording 21 points, 13 rebounds (!!!) and 4 assists in the last round. She was a key player of Aishin AW, leading her team to a 71-61 win against the higher-ranked Sunshine R. (#4, 16-12). The chances of Aishin AW not to end season at such low position in the league, however are less than slim as they have already lost 19 games, recording just nine victories. With bigger assistance of her teammates, Becker could try to bring Aishin AW's a little bit higher in the standings. Becker has individually a great season in Japan. After 14 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 6.4rpg (6th best).
