International Center Maki Takada (185-C-1989) had an amazing evening in the last round for second-ranked Denso Iris, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 11.
The 36-year old player was the main contributor (23 points, six rebounds and three assists) to her team's victory, helping them to crush Eneos S. (#5, 10-12) with 17-point margin 91-74. Denso I. maintains the 2nd position in Japanese WJBL. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Denso I. will need more victories to improve their 16-6 record. In the team's last game Takada had a remarkable 71.4% from 2-point range. She has many years of experience at Denso I., through which she has constantly improved. Maki Takada has solid league stats. She is in league's top in points (6th best: 12.5ppg) and averages impressive 60.9% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was young international shooting guard Kokoro Tanaka (173-SG-2006) of Eneos Sunflowers. Tanaka had a very good evening with a double-double of 21 points and 10 assists. Of course Eneos S. cruised to a 85-73 relatively comfortable win over the higher-ranked Denso I. (#2, 16-6). Eneos S.'s 5th position in the standings has not changed. Her team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 10-12 record. Tanaka is well-known at Eneos S. and is a proven leader in her second season with the team.

Third on the list of top players last round was international forward Ramu Tokashiki (193-F/C-1991) of Aishin AW Wings (#7). Tokashiki showcased her all-around game by recording 26 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists in the last round. She was a key player of Aishin AW, leading her team to a 67-61 win against the higher-ranked Fujitsu RW (#3, 14-8). The chances of Aishin AW not to end season at such low position in the league, however are less than slim as they have already lost 15 games, recording just seven victories. With bigger assistance of her teammates, Tokashiki could try to bring Aishin AW's a little bit higher in the standings. Tokashiki has individually a great season in Japan. After 22 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 15.1ppg (best scorer) and rebounds with 5.6rpg (9th best). She also has 1.3bpg and a FGP of 53.7%.
