Fluker's double-double lands her Player of the Week award

28-year old American center Channon Fluker (193-C-1997) put on an amazing game in the last round for Oda Haneda Vickies and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 7.
She had a double-double of 29 points and 23 rebounds, while her team lost the game against Chanson V-M (#6, 6-8) 68-73. Haneda V. maintains the 8th position in Japanese WJBL. Too late to salvage the team, which is currently ranked at the very bottom. They already lost 13 games and recorded just one victory. In the team's last game Fluker had a remarkable 63.2% from 2-point range. She turned to be Haneda V.'s top player in her first season with the team. California State University Northridge graduate has very impressive stats this year. Fluker is in league's top in points (8th best: 12.1ppg), rebounds (3rd best: 9.6rpg) and averages solid 54.7% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Amaka Okonkwo (186-C-2002) of top-ranked Toyota Antelopes. She is Nigerian center in her 2nd season at Toyota A.. In the last game Okonkwo recorded an impressive double-double of 17 points and 14 rebounds. Bad luck as Toyota A. was edged by slightly lower-ranked Denso I. (#3, 10-4) 67-66. It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the title. Toyota A. still maintains its place as the top team in the standings, even despite this loss. It was just her team's 2nd loss this season, while they won 12 other games. Okonkwo is well-known at Toyota A. and she already established her position as one of the team's leaders. She belongs to the best scorers in the league with 12.4ppg (#5). She also registered 11.0 boards per game.

Third place about best performers goes to center Maki Takada (185-C-1989) of Denso Iris (#3). Takada scored 21 points and grabbed 8 rebounds. She was a key player of Denso I., leading her team to a 67-66 win against #1 ranked Toyota A.. Denso I. needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 10 victories and 4 lost games. Takada has a very solid season. In 14 games in Japan she scored 10.8ppg. She also has 5.6rpg and a FGP of 57.3%.
