Miyazawa's double-double lands her Hoops Agents Player of the Week award

31-year old forward Yuki Miyazawa (183-F-1993) had a great game in the last round for second-ranked Fujitsu Red Wave and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 14.
She had a double-double of 16 points and 10 rebounds, while her team crushed Hitachi Cougars (#8, 4-24) with 22-point margin 84-62. Fujitsu RW maintains the 2nd position in Japanese WJBL. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Fujitsu RW will need more victories to improve their 22-6 record. Miyazawa has many years of experience at Fujitsu RW, through which she has constantly improved. Queens College graduate has very impressive stats this year. Miyazawa is in league's top in points (5th best: 13.8ppg), rebounds (7th best: 6.6rpg), assists (9th best: 3.3apg) and averages solid 1.1bpg,61.6% FGP and 42.5% from behind 3-point line.

Second best performed player last round was Mfon Joshua (190-C-1999). She is Nigerian center in her 3rd season at Fujitsu RW. In the last game Joshua recorded an impressive double-double of 18 points and 15 rebounds. Of course together with Miyazawa she helped Fujitsu Red Wave with another comfortable win outscoring the lower-ranked Hitachi Cougars (#8, 4-24) 74-40. Fujitsu RW's second position in the standings has not changed. Her team's 22-6 record is not bad at all. Joshua is one of the most experienced players at Fujitsu RW and similarly like Yuki Miyazawa has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. She belongs to the best scorers in the league with 12.9ppg (#8). She also registered 8.0 boards per game.

Third place about best performers goes to guard Nanami Tsuno (158-PG-2004) of Toyota Boshoku Sunshine Rabbits (#6). Tsuno scored 21 points and passed 6 assists. She was a key player of Toyota BSR, leading her team to a 74-53 easy win against the higher-ranked Chanson V-M (#3, 15-13). The chances of Toyota BSR not to end season at such low position in the league, however are less than slim as they have already lost 17 games, recording just eleven victories. With bigger assistance of her teammates, Tsuno could try to bring Toyota BSR's a little bit higher in the standings. Tsuno has individually a great season in Japan. After 21 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 13.0ppg (7th best) and assists with 5.1apg (4th best).
