Best players of Japanese WJBL round 13 (by Hoops Agents)

Experienced International Point guard Rui Machida (162-PG-1993) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for league's second-best Fujitsu Red Wave and that's her to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 13.
The 31-year old playmaker got a double-double of 25 points and 14 assists, while her team was edged out by Chanson V-M (#3, 15-11) 78-77. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. Fujitsu RW maintains the 2nd position in Japanese WJBL. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young Nigerian center Izoje Uche (188-C-2004) of Chanson V-Magic. Uche impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 20 points and 13 rebounds. It was enough for Chanson V-M to edge slightly higher-ranked Fujitsu RW (#2, 20-6) by 1 point 78-77. It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the title. Chanson V-M consolidated its place in top 3 of the standings. Her team's 15-11 record is not bad at all. Uche is one of the most experienced players at Chanson V-M and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. She belongs to the best scorers in the league with 15.4ppg (#1). She also registered 10.2 boards per game.

The third best performed player last round was international center Maki Takada (185-C-1989) of top-ranked Denso Iris. Takada scored 23 points and grabbed 9 rebounds. She was a key player of Denso I., leading her team to a 75-67 win against the lower-ranked Toyota BSR (#7, 9-17). Denso I. confirms their top position in the standings. Takada has a great season in Japan. After 26 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 14.3ppg (3rd best).

9. Yuki Miyazawa (183-F-1993) of Fujitsu RW - 16 points, 3 rebounds and 3 assists
10. Ririka Okuyama (180-F-2000) of Hitachi Cougars - 19 points and 11 rebounds
