26-year old American center Michael Hughes (203-C-1998) had a great game in the last round for Shanan United and receives a Hoops Agents B3 League Player of the Week award for round 19.
He had a double-double of 28 points and 11 rebounds, while his team outclassed Veertien Mie (#16, 6-26) with 31-point margin 96-65. The game rather meaningless between the teams, which do not have any influence on top of the standings. Shanan Utd maintains the 12th position in Japanese B3 League. Shanan Utd is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 13-19 record. In the team's last game Hughes had a remarkable 81.8% from 2-point range. He turned to be Shanan Utd's top player in his first season with the team. University of Duquesne graduate has very impressive stats this year. Hughes leads league in rebounds with 13.1rpg. Hughes is in league's top in and averages solid 2.3bpg and 59.1% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Taren Sullivan (198-F-1995) of Tokyo Hachioji Trains. He is American forward in his second season at Tokyo HT. In the last game Sullivan recorded an impressive 37 points, 8 rebounds and 3 assists. It was enough for Hachioji Trains to edge slightly higher-ranked Tachikawa (#9, 15-17) by 3 points 92-89. The game was between two teams which are definitely not main contenders for the title. Tokyo keeps 11th position. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 15-19 record. Sullivan is well-known at Tokyo and he already established his position as one of the team's leaders.

Third place about best performers goes to Andrew Fitzgerald (202-C/F-1990, agency: Octagon Europe) of Tachikawa Dice (#9). Fitzgerald got into 30-points club by scoring 32 points in the last round. He went also for seven rebounds . Despite Fitzgerald's great performance the Tachikawa lost 77-89 to slightly lower-ranked Tokyo HT (#11, 15-19). But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates. The chances of Tachikawa ranking at the top of the league, however are very questionable as they have already lost 17 games, recording just fifteen victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Fitzgerald could help Tachikawa to bring them higher in the standings. Fitzgerald has a great season in Japan. After 32 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 23.0ppg (3rd best).
