International Forward Yuki Miyazawa (183-F-1993) had a great game in the last round for top-ranked Fujitsu Red Wave, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 9.
The 31-year old player was the main contributor (24 points, three rebounds and six assists) to her team's victory, helping them to edge out Toyota A. (#7, 6-12) 81-78. It allowed Fujitsu RW to consolidate first place in the Japanese WJBL. Fujitsu RW have a solid 16-2 record. In the team's last game Miyazawa had a remarkable 63.6% from 2-point range. She has many years of experience at Fujitsu RW, through which she has constantly improved. Former Queens College star has very solid stats this year. Miyazawa is in league's top in points (4th best: 14.2ppg), rebounds (6th best: 7.1rpg), assists (9th best: 3.4apg) and averages impressive 1.3bpg and 59.4% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was young international power forward Ramu Tokashiki (193-F/C-1991) of Aishin AW Wings. Tokashiki had a very good evening with 21 points, 7 rebounds and 2 assists. It was enough for Aishin AW to edge slightly higher-ranked Toyota BSR (#5, 7-11) 66-63. This victory allowed Aishin AW to move up to 6th position in the standings. Her team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 7-12 record. Tokashiki is a newcomer at Aishin AW, but is already one of team's top players. She belongs to the best scorers in the league with 14.9ppg (#3). Her other stats are also decent: 7.7rpg and 3.3apg.

Third on the list of top players last round was former international forward Yurika Sato (176-PF-1998) of Chanson V-Magic (#4). Sato scored 21 points and grabbed 6 rebounds. She was a key player of Chanson V-M, leading her team to a 71-52 easy win against #3 ranked Eneos S. in a game of the week. Chanson V-M needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 9 victories and 9 lost games. Sato has a very solid season. In 18 games in Japan she scored 12.1ppg. She also has 5.5rpg and 1.1bpg.
