American Perrin Buford (198-F-1994, agency: Pensack Sports) had a great game in the last round for Shinshu Brave Warriors Nagano and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents B2 League Player of the Week award for round 19.
The 30-year old forward recorded a triple-double of 27 points adding also 10 rebounds and 10 assists, while his team outclassed Kobe S. (#4, 9-10) with 28-point margin 101-73. Brave Warriors maintains the 4th position in their group in the Japanese B2 League. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Shinshu will need more victories to improve their 13-6 record. In the team's last game Buford had a remarkable 90.9% from 2-point range. He turned to be Brave Warriors's top player in his first season with the team. Middle Tennessee State University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Buford is in league's top in points (5th best: 18.3ppg), rebounds (6th best: 10.7rpg), assists (2nd best: 6.8apg) and averages solid 51.0% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young Venezuelan center Gregory Echenique (208-C-1990, agency: Pensack Sports) of Kumamoto Volters. Echenique impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 22 points and 14 rebounds. It was enough for Volters to edge slightly higher-ranked Bambitious N. (#5, 8-11) by 4 points 73-69. Kumamoto V.'s 6th position in West has not changed. 16 lost games are too many comparing to just three victories Volters managed to get this year. Echenique is a newcomer at Kumamoto V. and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders.

The third best performed player last round was American TJ Holyfield (203-PF-1995) of Pass lab Yamagata Wyverns (#5). Holyfield scored 18 points and grabbed 9 rebounds. Despite Holyfield's great performance the Wyverns lost 76-89 to the higher-ranked Kagoshima (#2, 12-7). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. The chances of Yamagata ranking at the top of East, however are very questionable as they have already lost 11 games, recording just eight victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Holyfield could help Yamagata to bring them higher in the standings. Holyfield has a very solid season. In 16 games in Japan he scored 11.9ppg. He also has 6.1rpg, 1.3bpg, a FGP of 52.3% and 3PT: 40.5%.
