38-year old American center Wayne Marshall (211-C-1986) put on an amazing game in the last round for Shinshu Brave Warriors Nagano and receives a Hoops Agents B2 League Player of the Week award for round 17.
He had a double-double of 23 points and 10 rebounds, while his team crushed Bambitious N. (#5, 7-10) with 19-point margin 82-63. Brave Warriors maintains the 4th position in their group in the Japanese B2 League. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Shinshu will need more victories to improve their 11-6 record. Marshall has many years of experience at Brave Warriors, through which he has constantly improved. Wayne Marshall averages this season 14.5ppg and 6.1rpg.

Second best performed player last round was Gregory Echenique (208-C-1990, agency: Pensack Sports) of Kumamoto Volters. He is Venezuelan center in his first season at Kumamoto V.. In the last game Echenique recorded an impressive 16 points and 9 rebounds. It was enough for Volters to edge the higher-ranked Shizuoka (#3, 9-8) by 3 points 74-71. Kumamoto V.'s 6th position in West has not changed. 15 lost games are too many comparing to just two victories Volters managed to get this year. Echenique is a newcomer at Kumamoto V. and quickly became one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to another Shinshu BW's star - forward Perrin Buford (198-F-1994, agency: Pensack Sports). Buford showcased his all-around game by recording 11 points, 16 rebounds (!!!) and 7 assists in the last round. He was another key player of Shinshu Brave Warriors Nagano, helping his team with a 82-63 easy win against slightly lower-ranked Bambitious N. (#5, 7-10). Brave Warriors needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams in West. Their record at this point is 11 victories and 6 lost games. Buford has a great season in Japan. After 17 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 17.8ppg (9th best), rebounds with 10.7rpg (6th best) and assists with 6.6apg (2nd best).
