Best players of Japanese WJBL round 7 (by Hoops Agents)

Experienced International Center Maki Takada (185-C-1989) put on an amazing game in the last round for league's second-best Denso Iris and that's her to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 7.
The 35-year old center had the game-high 24 points adding nine rebounds and two assists for Denso I. in her team's victory, helping them to outclass Eneos S. (#3, 8-5) with 35-point margin 77-42. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. Denso I. maintains the 2nd position in Japanese WJBL. They are still close to the very top. Denso I. would have been even better if they kept winning the games like in the last round. They have a solid 12-2 record. Takada has many years of experience at Denso I., through which she has constantly improved. Takada has impressive league stats. She is in league's top in points (8th best: 13.7ppg) and averages solid 57.0% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young Nigerian center Izoje Uche (188-C-2004) of Chanson V-Magic. Uche impressed basketball fans with 25 points and 9 rebounds. Of course she led Chanson V-M to another comfortable win outscoring slightly lower-ranked Toyota BSR (#7, 5-9) 81-54. Chanson V-M's 5th position in the standings has not changed. Her team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 6-8 record. Uche is one of the most experienced players at Chanson V-M and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. She belongs to the best scorers in the league with 18.6ppg (#1). She also registered 11.4 boards per game.

The third best performed player last round was Jessica Wariebimo (188-C-2005) of Toyota Boshoku Sunshine Rabbits (#7). Wariebimo scored 16 points and grabbed 23 rebounds (!!!). Despite Wariebimo's great performance the Toyota BSR lost 52-67 to slightly higher-ranked Chanson V-M (#5, 6-8). But her team cannot count on just a single player as she also needs help of the other teammates. The chances of Toyota BSR not to end season at such low position in the league, however are less than slim as they have already lost 9 games, recording just five victories. With bigger assistance of her teammates, Wariebimo could try to bring Toyota BSR's a little bit higher in the standings. Wariebimo has individually a great season in Japan. After 14 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 15.2ppg (4th best) and rebounds with 15.0rpg (#1 in league). She also has 1.9bpg and a FGP of 55.1%.

9. Horiuchi Horiuchi (167-PG-2006) of Chanson V-M - 15 points, 4 rebounds and 2 assists
10. Aika Hirashita (177-C-2002) of Toyota A. - 10 points and 10 rebounds
