Japanese WJBL round 6 best performance: Izoje Uche (by Hoops Agents)

Nigerian Center Izoje Uche (188-C-2004) had an amazing evening in the last round for Chanson V-Magic, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 6.
The 20-year old player had a double-double of 35 points and 16 rebounds, while her team in a lost game to Fujitsu RW (#1, 10-2) 67-82. Chanson V-M moved-up to the 7th position in Japanese WJBL. Chanson V-M is currently ranked second from the bottom. But it was their 8th lost game this season out of 12 games. Uche has many years of experience at Chanson V-M, through which she has constantly improved. Izoje Uche has solid league stats. She is league's best scorer averaging so far 19.3ppg. Uche is in league's top in rebounds (2nd best: 12.1rpg) and averages impressive 2.8bpg and 58.0% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was young international forward Yuki Miyazawa (183-F-1993) of league's leader Fujitsu Red Wave. Miyazawa had a very good evening with 28 points, 7 rebounds and 2 assists. Of course Fujitsu RW cruised to a 78-69 relatively comfortable win over the lower-ranked Chanson V-M (#7, 4-8). This victory allowed Fujitsu RW to move up to 1st position in the standings. Her team lost just two games this season, while they won 10 matches. Miyazawa is one of the most experienced players at Fujitsu RW and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. She belongs to the best scorers in the league with 14.0ppg (#7). Her other stats are also decent: 8.3rpg and 3.1apg.

Third on the list of top players last round was international forward Ramu Tokashiki (193-F/C-1991) of Aishin AW Wings (#4). Tokashiki showcased her all-around game by recording 19 points, 13 rebounds (!!!) and 7 assists in the last round. Despite Tokashiki's great performance the Aishin AW lost 66-73 to #3 ranked Eneos S.. But her team cannot count on just a single player as she also needs help of the other teammates especially in such crucial game. The chances of Aishin AW ranking at the top of the league, however are very questionable as they have already lost 7 games, recording just six victories. With bigger assistance of her teammates, Tokashiki could help Aishin AW to bring them higher in the standings. Tokashiki has a great season in Japan. After 12 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 15.8ppg (3rd best), rebounds with 7.8rpg (6th best) and assists with 4.3apg (7th best). She also has 1.3bpg and a FGP of 53.5%.

9. Yuki Kitamura (173-SG-1994) of Toyota BSR - 27 points and 2 assists
10. Aika Hirashita (177-C-2002) of Toyota A. - 18 points and 9 rebounds
