Uche's double-double lands her Player of the Week award

20-year old Nigerian center Izoje Uche (188-C-2004) had a very impressive game in the last round for Chanson V-Magic and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 5.
She had a double-double of 30 points and 16 rebounds, while her team was edged out by Toyota A. (#7, 2-8) 92-88. Chanson V-M moved-up to the 5th position in Japanese WJBL. Chanson V-M is rather a weak team placed in lower part in the standings. But it was their 6th lost game this season out of 10 games. Uche has many years of experience at Chanson V-M, through which she has constantly improved. Uche has impressive league stats. She is league's best scorer averaging so far 17.6ppg. Uche is in league's top in rebounds (2nd best: 11.9rpg) and averages solid 2.4bpg and 55.5% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Mfon Joshua (190-C-1999) of league's second-best Fujitsu Red Wave. She is Nigerian center in her 3rd season at Fujitsu RW. In the last game Joshua recorded an impressive double-double of 22 points and 12 rebounds. Of course she led Fujitsu RW to another comfortable win outscoring slightly higher-ranked Denso I. (#1, 9-1) 68-47. It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the title. Fujitsu RW consolidated its place in top 2 of the standings. Her team lost just two games this season, while they won 8 matches. Joshua is one of the most experienced players at Fujitsu RW and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. She belongs to the best scorers in the league with 13.1ppg (#9). She also registered 8.6 boards per game.

Third place about best performers goes to another Fujitsu RW's star - forward Yuki Miyazawa (183-F-1993). Miyazawa showcased her all-around game by recording 16 points, 14 rebounds (!!!) and 5 assists in the last round. She was another key player of Fujitsu Red Wave, helping her team with a 65-54 win against #1 ranked Denso I.. Fujitsu RW is closer and closer to top of the standings. They will still need more victories. But 8-2 record is not that bad... Miyazawa has a great season in Japan. After 10 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 8.4rpg (5th best). She also has 1.1bpg and a FGP of 58.9%.
