Experienced American Chehales Tapscott (195-F-1990) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Cyberdyne Ibaraki Robots and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 13.
The 34-year old forward had the game-high 31 points adding six rebounds and three assists for Ibaraki R. in his team's victory, helping them to beat Sunrockers Sh. (#4, 9-5) 87-80. Robots maintains the 7th position in their group in the Japanese B1 League. The season is in a full swing, so it's only a dream for the team to make it into top half of the standings. For contrary they may face relegation if the situation turns from bad to worse. Ibaraki R. have already lost 11 games and recorded just three victories. In the team's last game Tapscott had a remarkable 84.6% from 2-point range. He has many years of experience at Robots, through which he has constantly improved. Chehales Tapscott averages this season 10.4ppg.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young American forward John Mooney (206-F-1998, agency: Pensack Sports) of league's best team Chiba Jets. Mooney impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 20 points and 11 rebounds. Of course he led Jets to another comfortable win outscoring the lower-ranked Nagoya DD (#5, 6-8) 99-72. Of course Chiba Jets still keep Central's top spot. His team lost just two games this season, while they won 12 matches. Mooney is one of the most experienced players at Chiba Jets and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

The third best performed player last round was American D.J. Newbill (193-G-1992) of second-ranked Link Tochigi Brex Utsunomiya. Newbill scored 22 points and passed 4 assists. He was a key player of Tochigi Brex, leading his team to a 96-68 easy win against the lower-ranked Hokkaido L. (#5, 5-9). Tochigi Brex is closer and closer to top of the standings in East. They will still need more victories. But 12-2 record is not that bad... Newbill has a great season in Japan. After 14 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 20.2ppg (3rd best) and assists with 5.5apg (7th best). He also has a FGP of 61.1% and 3PT: 42.2%.
