Japanese WJBL round 3 best performance: Jessica Wariebimo (by Hoops Agents)

Center Jessica Wariebimo (188-C-2005) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Toyota Boshoku Sunshine Rabbits, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 3.
The 19-year old player had a double-double of 23 points and 16 rebounds, while her team crushed, the league's bottom-ranked team Toyota A. (#8, 0-6) with 21-point margin 79-58. Toyota BSR maintains the 3rd position in Japanese WJBL. They would have been even better if they did not have these two lost games earlier in Regular Season. Toyota BSR will need more victories to improve their 4-2 record. It's Wariebimo's second year at Toyota BSR and it's hard to imagine this team without her. Jessica Wariebimo has solid league stats. She is league's best scorer averaging so far 20.7ppg and leads league in rebounds with 15.2rpg. Wariebimo is in league's top in and averages impressive 1.5bpg and 63.2% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was young Nigerian center Izoje Uche (188-C-2004) of Chanson V-Magic. Uche had a very good evening with a double-double of 26 points and 14 rebounds. Of course Chanson V-M cruised to a 90-78 relatively comfortable win over Hitachi Cougars (0-6). The season is still at the very beginning and this victory may help a lot. Let's wait for the next round. Uche is one of the most experienced players at Chanson V-M and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. She belongs to the best scorers in the league with 16.2ppg (#2). She also registered 11.8 boards per game.

Third on the list of top players last round was Ghanian Evelyn Mawuli (180-C/F-1995) of league's top team Denso Iris. Mawuli showcased her all-around game by recording 20 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists in the last round. She was a key player of Denso I., leading her team to a 88-57 easy win against Aishin AW (#6, 3-4). Denso I. started extremely well this year. They recorded 6 victories without losing a single game. Mawuli turns to be one of the very best players in the league while she is also a leader of the top team having her eyes on the championship title. Mawuli has a great season in Japan. After only 6 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 13.5ppg (6th best). Evelyn Mawuli has also Japanese passport and can play in the league with a status of domestic player.

9. Moeko Nagaoka (183-F-1993) of Eneos S. - 12 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists
10. Kuke Haruka (166-PG-1995) of Chanson V-M - 7 points, 4 rebounds and 14 assists
