Tokashiki's double-double lands her Hoops Agents Player of the Week award

33-year old power forward Ramu Tokashiki (193-F/C-1991) put on an amazing game in the last round for Aishin AW Wings and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 2.
She had a double-double of 29 points and 12 rebounds, while her team edged out Toyota BSR (#5, 2-2) 83-79. Aishin AW is placed at 3rd position in Japanese WJBL. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost two games earlier this season. Aishin AW will need more victories to improve their 3-2 record. In the team's last game Tokashiki had a remarkable 61.1% from 2-point range. She turned to be Aishin AW's top player in her first season with the team. Tokashiki has impressive league stats. She is in league's top in points (3rd best: 17.3ppg) and rebounds (3rd best: 8.8rpg).

Second best performed player last round was Izoje Uche (188-C-2004) of Chanson V-Magic. She is Nigerian center in her 3rd season at Chanson V-M. In the last game Uche recorded an impressive double-double of 18 points and 12 rebounds. Bad luck as Chanson V-M was edged by Eneos S. (2-1) 74-71. The season is still at the very beginning and this lost game may not be such crucial, of course if they start win the games. Let's wait for the next round. Uche is one of the most experienced players at Chanson V-M and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. She belongs to the best scorers in the league with 13.5ppg (#6). She also registered 11.3 boards per game.

Third place about best performers goes to center Jessica Wariebimo (188-C-2005) of Toyota Boshoku Sunshine Rabbits (#5). Wariebimo scored 18 points and grabbed 15 rebounds (!!!). Despite Wariebimo's great performance the Toyota BSR lost 79-83 to Aishin AW (#3, 3-2). But her team cannot count on just a single player as she also needs help of the other teammates. The last thing Toyota BSR needs is to lose another game like this one. They lose more and more distance to the top teams. Their record is 2 victories and 2 lost games. Wariebimo has a great season in Japan. After only 4 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 20.3ppg (best scorer) and rebounds with 15.0rpg (#1 in league).
