Fujitsu RW - Denso I. 89-79

Fujitsu Red Wave clinched WJBL title. They overcame Denso Iris in the decisive third game of the championship series. Fujitsu RW led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Fujitsu RW outrebounded Denso I. 33-21 including 19 on the offensive glass. Fujitsu RW looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists. The best player for the winners was the former international forward Yuki Miyazawa (183-1993, college: Queens, NY) who scored 18 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. The former international point guard Rui Machida (162-1993) chipped in 8 points, 6 rebounds and 9 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was the former international power forward Evelyn Mawuli (180-1995) who recorded 23 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists and the former international center Maki Takada (185-1989) added 20 points (went 10 for 10 at the free throw line !!!) respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures.
