Best players of Japanese WJBL round 21 (by Hoops Agents)

Experienced International Power forward Ramu Tokashiki (193-F/C-1991) had an amazing evening in the last round for league's leader Eneos Sunflowers and that's her to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 21.
The 32-year old power forward had the game-high 31 points adding eight rebounds for Eneos S. in her team's victory, helping them to crush Mitsubishi K. (#9, 6-16) with 18-point margin 76-58. It allowed Eneos S. to jump to the first place in the Japanese WJBL. Eneos S. has a very good season and are considered to have a run for the championship title. They improved their record to 20-2. Tokashiki has many years of experience at Eneos S., through which she has constantly improved. Tokashiki has impressive league stats. She is league's best scorer averaging so far 18.7ppg. Tokashiki is in league's top in rebounds (2nd best: 10.1rpg) and averages solid 1.8bpg and 69.6% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young international Akaho Himawari (185-SF-1998) of second-ranked Denso Iris. Himawari impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 17 points and 17 rebounds. Of course she led Denso I. to another comfortable win outscoring Toyota A. (19-2) 72-46. It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the title. Denso I. consolidated its place in top 2 of the standings. Her team belongs to top of the standings with 19-2 record and is considered one of the main candidates for the league title. Himawari is one of the most experienced players at Denso I. and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. She belongs to the best scorers in the league with 13.0ppg (#9). Her other stats are also decent: 9.0rpg and 3.0apg.

The third best performed player last round was another Denso I.'s star - international center Maki Takada (185-C-1989). Takada scored 29 points. She was another key player of Denso Iris, helping her team with a 72-46 easy win against #3 ranked Toyota A.. Many experts and fans count Denso I. as a contender for championship title. Another victory and another confirmation that they may be right. Just look at their record: 19 victories and only two lost games. Takada has a great season in Japan. After 22 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 15.1ppg (4th best) and rebounds with 6.6rpg (7th best). She also has a FGP of 52.6% and 3PT: 48.4%.
