Experienced International Power forward Ramu Tokashiki (193-F/C-1991) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Eneos Sunflowers and that's her to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 18.
The 32-year old power forward had the game-high 20 points adding six rebounds for Eneos S. in her team's victory, helping them to outclass Himeji E. (#11, 3-14) with 39-point margin 97-58. Thanks to this victory Eneos S. moved-up to the 3rd position in Japanese WJBL. They are still close to the very top. Eneos S. would have been even better if they kept winning the games like in the last round. They have a solid 16-2 record. Tokashiki has many years of experience at Eneos S., through which she has constantly improved. Tokashiki has impressive league stats. She is league's best scorer averaging so far 18.6ppg. Tokashiki is in league's top in rebounds (2nd best: 10.1rpg) and averages solid 1.5bpg and 69.0% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young Nigerian center Joshuana von Novon (190-C-1999) of Fujitsu Red Wave. von Novon impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 17 points and 10 rebounds. Bad luck as Fujitsu RW lost that game 55-60 to slightly higher-ranked Toyota A. (#2, 16-1). It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the title. Fujitsu RW still maintains its place in the top 4 of the standings, even despite this loss. It was just her team's 3rd loss this season, while they won 15 other games. von Novon is well-known by Fujitsu RW fans and she already established her position as one of team's most reliable players. She belongs to the best scorers in the league with 16.6ppg (#3). She also registered 8.5 boards per game.

The third best performed player last round was international Akaho Himawari (185-SF-1998) of top-ranked Denso Iris. Himawari scored 13 points and grabbed 13 rebounds (!!!). She was a key player of Denso I., leading her team to a 79-54 easy win against the lower-ranked Aranmare A. (#10, 3-14). Many experts and fans count Denso I. as a contender for championship title. Another victory and another confirmation that they may be right. Just look at their record: 16 victories and only one lost game. They are currently at the very top of the standings. Himawari has a great season in Japan. After 17 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 9.4rpg (3rd best).
