Nigerian Center Izoje Uche (188-C-2004) put on an amazing game in the last round for Chanson V-Magic, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 17.
The 19-year old player had a double-double of 25 points and 16 rebounds, while her team crushed Niigata R. (#14, 2-16) with 21-point margin 78-57. Chanson V-M maintains the 5th position in Japanese WJBL. They are still close to the very top. Chanson V-M would have been even better if they kept winning the games like in the last round. They have a solid 14-3 record. It's Uche's second year at Chanson V-M and it's hard to imagine this team without her. Izoje Uche has solid league stats. She is in league's top in points (2nd best: 17.3ppg) and averages impressive 2.6bpg and 73.0% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was young Jessica Wariebimo (188-C-2005) of Toyota Boshoku Sunshine Rabbits. Wariebimo had a very good evening with 24 points and 8 rebounds. Of course she led Toyota BSR to another comfortable win 91-75 over slightly lower-ranked Aishin AW (#8, 6-11) being unquestionably team leader. Toyota BSR's 6th position in the standings has not changed. Her team lost some distance to top teams. But a 12-6 record is not bad and everything may still change. Wariebimo is a newcomer at Toyota BSR, but is already one of team's top players.

Third on the list of top players last round was guard Shizuka Takada (168-PG-1996) of league's top team Eneos Sunflowers. Takada scored 19 points and grabbed 6 rebounds. She was a key player of Eneos S., leading her team to a 81-66 easy win against the lower-ranked Himeji E. (#11, 3-14). Eneos S. confirms their top position in the standings. Takada has a great season in Japan. After 18 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 10.7ppg (5th best) and rebounds with 2.8rpg (6th best).
