Nigerian Center Joshuana von Novon (190-C-1999) had a great game in the last round for Fujitsu Red Wave, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 14.
The 24-year old player had a double-double of 30 points and 15 rebounds, while her team outclassed Himeji E. (#13, 2-11) with 40-point margin 95-55. Fujitsu RW maintains the 3rd position in Japanese WJBL. They are still close to the very top. Fujitsu RW would have been even better if they kept winning the games like in the last round. They have a solid 12-2 record. It's von Novon's second year at Fujitsu RW and it's hard to imagine this team without her. Joshuana von Novon has solid league stats. She is in league's top in points (2nd best: 16.9ppg), rebounds (5th best: 8.5rpg) and averages impressive 1.7bpg and 64.6% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was young international shooting guard Nanako Todo (175-SG-2000) of Toyota Boshoku Sunshine Rabbits. Todo had a very good evening with 24 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Of course she led Toyota BSR to another comfortable win outscoring the lower-ranked Yamanashi QB (#12, 2-11) 89-65. Toyota BSR's 6th position in the standings has not changed. Her team lost some distance to top teams. But 9-5 record is not bad and everything may still change. Todo is one of the most experienced players at Toyota BSR and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. She belongs to the best scorers in the league with 14.0ppg (#6). She also registered 4.8 boards per game.

Third on the list of top players last round was international center Maki Takada (185-C-1989) of league's second-best Denso Iris. Takada showcased her all-around game by recording 15 points, eight rebounds and four assists in the last round. She was a key player of Denso I., leading her team to a 64-51 easy win against the lower-ranked Aishin AW (#7, 6-7). Many experts and fans count Denso I. as a contender for championship title. Another victory and another confirmation that they may be right. Just look at their record: 12 victories and only one lost game. Takada has a great season in Japan. After 14 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 15.1ppg (5th best) and rebounds with 7.6rpg (7th best).
