The most important game in the last round took place in Kawasaki between second ranked Fujitsu RW (10-2) and fourth ranked Eneos S. (10-2) on Sunday night. Fujitsu RW was defeated by Eneos S. at home 86-73. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Fujitsu RW. The best player for the winners was the former international power forward Ramu Tokashiki (193-1991) who had a double-double by scoring 29 points and 14 rebounds. The former international Saori Miyazaki (167-1995) chipped in 13 points and 8 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was the former international point guard Rui Machida (162-1993) who recorded 20 points, 9 rebounds and 8 assists. Fujitsu RW's coach BT Toews rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Defending champion moved-up to third place, which they share with defeated Fujitsu RW. Eneos S. is looking forward to face bottom-ranked Niigata R. (#14) in Tokyo in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Fujitsu RW will play at home against Himeji E. (#12) and is hoping to win this game.
Undefeated leader Toyota A. delivered the eleventh consecutive victory. This time they beat 13th ranked Haneda V. (2-10) 75-63 in Nagoya. It was a good game for Senegalese center Sokhna Sylla (200-1997) who led her team to a victory with 19 points and 8 rebounds. Kiho Miyashita contributed with 14 points for the winners. Swingman Sayako Owase (177-1997) replied with 14 points for Haneda V.Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Undefeated Toyota A. The game with biggest result difference took place in Tokyo. Local Niigata R. (1-11) was outscored by third ranked Denso I. (10-1) 104-49 on Sunday night. Worth to mention a quality performance of Akaho Himawari who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 19 points, 17 rebounds and 6 assists. The best for the losing side was Yumi Yano with 8 points and 8 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Denso I. moved-up to second place. Niigata R. lost fourth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom position with 11 games lost. Denso I. will meet Aishin AW (#7) in the next round where they are favorite. Niigata R. will play against Eneos S. (#4) and hope to win that game.
