Best players of Japanese B3 League round 31 (by Hoops Agents)- January 31, 2023
The 33-year old power forward had a double-double of 28 points and fifteen rebounds, while his team edged out Tokyo HT (#10, 11-21) 84-80. Okayama maintains the 6th position in Japanese B3 League. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Okayama will need more victories to improve their 20-12 record. In the team's last game Washington had a remarkable 66.7% from 2-point range. He turned to be Okayama's top player in his first season with the team. DeVaughn Washington averages this season 13.1ppg and 7.2rpg. The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young American forward Logan Routt (211-F-1997) of Kagoshima. Routt impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 38 points and 13 rebounds. Bad luck as Kagoshima was edged by slightly lower-ranked Yokohama EX (#5, 24-8) 90-86. Kagoshima managed to keep the same 4th spot in the standings. His team's 25-7 record is not bad at all. Routt is a newcomer at Kagoshima and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders. The third best performed player last round was American Tucker Haymond (198-G-1994) of Veertien Mie (#12). Haymond got into 30-points club by scoring 34 points in the last round. He went also for seven rebounds and twelve assists. He was a key player of Veertien Mie, leading his team to a 87-84 win against the higher-ranked Gifu (#8, 14-18). Haymond has individually a great season in Japan. After 30 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 22.4ppg (4th best). Other top performing players last week: 4.
