The 30-year old player had a double-double of 33 points and 17 rebounds, while his team outclassed Kagoshima (#3, 23-6) with 28-point margin 96-68. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. Iwate maintains the 4th position in Japanese B3 League. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Iwate will need more victories to improve their 23-12 record. In the team's last game Richardson had a remarkable 55.0% from 2-point range. He turned to be Iwate's top player in his first season with the team. Former Portland State University star has very solid stats this year. Richardson is in league's top in points (4th best: 22.1ppg), rebounds (6th best: 11.4rpg) and averages impressive 55.6% FGP. The second best player in last round's games was 26-year old American Matt Bonds (196-F-95, agency: Duran International) of league's leader Nagasaki. Bonds had a very good evening with a double-double of 24 points and 13 rebounds. Of course he led Nagasaki to another comfortable win outscoring the lower-ranked Tokyo HT (#9, 15-12) 111-60. Of course Nagasaki still keep the league's top spot. His team belongs to top of the standings with 28-3 record and is considered one of the main candidates for the league title. Bonds is a newcomer at Nagasaki, but is already one of team's top players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 20.6ppg (#7). He also registered 10.0 boards per game. Third on the list of top players last round was American forward Kevin Kotzur (203-F-89) of league's second-best Chiba. Kotzur showcased his all-around game by recording 19 points, fifteen rebounds (!!!) and five assists in the last round. He was a key player of Chiba, leading his team to a 99-79 easy win against the lower-ranked Toyoda (#13, 6-27). Kotzur has a great season in Japan. After 27 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 11.9rpg (4th best). Other top performing players last week: 4. Terrance King (198-F-90) of Iwate - 23 points and 7 rebounds 9. Will Creekmore (205-C-89) of Saitama - 23 points, 2 rebounds and 3 assists 10.
