American Kyle Richardson (200-PF-91) had an amazing evening in the last round for league's leader Iwate and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents B3 League Player of the Week award for round 6.
The 30-year old power forward had a double-double of 23 points and twelve rebounds, while his team outclassed Yamaguchi (#11, 1-5) with 33-point margin 90-57. It allowed Iwate to consolidate first place in the Japanese B3 League. They maintain a perfect record without any lost game in the league. The season is still on an early stage, but Iwate already had a very good start winning all 6 without losing a single one. Richardson turned to be Iwate's top player in his first season with the team. Portland State University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Richardson is in league's top in points (2nd best: 22.8ppg), rebounds (3rd best: 11.7rpg) and averages solid 64.8% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was 30-year old Nigerian forward Chukwudiebere Maduabum (206-F-91) of Okayama. Maduabum impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 25 points and 10 rebounds. Bad luck as Okayama lost that game 83-100 to the higher-ranked Kagoshima (#5, 4-2). This loss caused Okayama to drop to 9th position in the standings. His team lost some distance to top teams. But 2-2 record is not bad and everything may still change. Maduabum is a newcomer at Okayama and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders.

The third best performed player last round was American Anthony Gaines Jr. (195-G/F-93) of Kagoshima (#5). Gaines Jr. got into 30-points club by scoring 31 points in the last round. He went also for five rebounds . He was a key player of Kagoshima, leading his team to a 100-83 easy win against the lower-ranked Okayama (#9, 2-2). Kagoshima needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 4 victories and 2 lost games. Gaines Jr. has a great season in Japan. After only 6 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 19.7ppg (6th best). He also has 2.7spg and FGP: 57.1%.

Other top performing players last week:
4. John Fields (205-F/C-88) of Tokyo HT - 22 points and 8 rebounds
5. Jerrell Wright (204-F-91) of Gifu - 20 points, 7 rebounds and 2 assists

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
