33-year old power forward Alex Jones (206-F/C-87) had a very impressive game in the last round for Tokyo Z and receives a Hoops Agents B2 League Player of the Week award for round 20.
He had a double-double of 31 points and 15 rebounds, while his team was edged out by Aomori W. (#8, 2-16) 87-84. Tokyo Z maintains the 7th position in their group in Japanese B2 League. Too late to salvage the team, which is currently ranked such low. They already lost 16 games and recorded just four victories. Jones turned to be Tokyo Z's top player in his first season with the team. Seattle University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Jones is in league's top in points (2nd best: 24.7ppg) and averages solid 2.3bpg and 61.9% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Michael Parker (202-F-81) of top-ranked Gunma. He is naturalized American forward in his first season at Gunma. In the last game Parker recorded impressive double-double of 25 points and 16 rebounds. It was enough for Gunma to edge the lower-ranked Fukushima (#4, 13-7) by 6 points 98-92. It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the top position in East. Gunma consolidated its place in the very top position of the standings. His team belongs to top of the standings with 18-2 record and is considered one of the main candidates for the league title. Parker is a newcomer at Gunma and quickly became one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to forward Eric Jacobsen (208-PF-94) of Sendai 89ers (#3). Jacobsen scored 19 points and grabbed fifteen rebounds (!!!). Despite Jacobsen's great performance Sendai 89ers lost 64-72 to slightly lower-ranked Koshigaya A. (#5, 10-8). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. The last thing Sendai 89ers needs is to lose another game like this one. They lose more and more distance to the top teams in East. Their record is 13 victories and 7 lost games. Jacobsen has a great season in Japan. After 20 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 20.6ppg (4th best) and rebounds with 10.2rpg (6th best).
