American Center Daniel Miller (211-C-91) had an amazing evening in the last round for second-ranked Sendai 89ers, receiving a Interperformances B2 League Player of the Week award for round 56.
The 27-year old player had a double-double of 31 points and 13 rebounds, while his team beat Yamagata (#5, 20-36) 82-72. Sendai 89ers maintains the 2nd position in their group in Japanese B2 League. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Sendai 89ers will need more victories to improve their 37-19 record. Miller turned to be Sendai 89ers' top player in his first season with the team. Daniel Miller averages this season 15.0ppg and 11.8rpg.

The second best player in last round's games was 34-year old Nigerian Abdullahi Kuso (206-F-84) of league's leader Gunma. Kuso had a very good evening with a double-double of 14 points and 17 rebounds. Of course he led Gunma to another comfortable win 87-73 over slightly lower-ranked Cyberdyne IR (#3, 34-22) being unquestionably team leader. It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the top position in East. Gunma consolidated its place in the very top position of the standings. His team has currently 41-15 record. Kuso is a newcomer at Gunma, but is already one of team's top players.

Third on the list of top players last round was American Andrew Fitzgerald (202-C/F-90) of Ehime OV (#4). Fitzgerald scored 29 points and grabbed sixteen rebounds (!!!). He was a key player of Ehime OV, leading his team to a 101-72 easy win against #3 ranked Hiroshima D.. The chances of Ehime OV not to end season at such low position in West, however are less than slim as they have already lost 36 games, recording just twenty victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Fitzgerald could try to bring Ehime OV's a little bit higher in the standings. Fitzgerald has individually a great season in Japan. After 53 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 26.9ppg (3rd best) and rebounds with 12.1rpg (9th best).
