Here is the last round review presented by ESL.

The biggest surprise of round 11 was guest Kagoshima's (5-11) road victory over 5th ranked Gifu Swoops (4-12) 76-63 on Sunday evening. Kagoshima had a 33-22 advantage in offensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was American center Antone Warren (208-93, college: Antelope Valley CC) who had a double-double by scoring 21 points and 13 rebounds. Kiichi Kawakami (188-95) chipped in 15 points and 6 rebounds. Canadian center Michael Allison (206-90, college: Maine) produced 20 points and 7 rebounds for the hosts. Gifu Swoops' coach Kazuo Kusumoto rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Kagoshima have a solid series of four victories in a row. They moved-up to fifth place. Gifu Swoops lost sixth consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the sixth position with 12 games lost. Kagoshima are looking forward to face Iwate Big Bulls (#8) on the road in the next round. Gifu Swoops will play against the league's second-placed Tokyo Excel. and are hoping to win this game.
Very important is a home loss of third ranked Tokyo Cinq R. (9-7) against seventh ranked Toyoda Gosei (3-1) on Sunday night. Host Tokyo Cinq R. was defeated by Toyoda Gosei in Tokyo 77-67. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Tokyo Cinq R.. American-Irish Brian Voelkel (196-92, college: Vermont) orchestrated the victory with a triple-double by scoring 10 points, 12 rebounds and 10 assists. Hiroki Higashi contributed with 19 points and 6 rebounds (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winners. Toyoda Gosei's coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. American forward Deangelo Kirkland (203-89, college: Columbus St., agency: Interperformances) answered with 12 points and 7 rebounds for Tokyo Cinq R.Toyoda Gosei maintains seventh place with 3-1 record. Tokyo Cinq R. at the other side keeps the third position with seven games lost. Toyoda Gosei's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Aichi Aisin AW.

In the last game of round 11 Saitama Bron. crushed Iwate Big Bulls in a road game 81-52.

Leader Koshigaya A. delivered the fifteenth victory on Sunday night. This time they crushed bottom-ranked Tokyo Big Blue (0-4) 122-67. Koshigaya A. dominated down low during the game scoring 72 of its points in the paint compared to Tokyo Big Blue's 32 and had 29 for 40 from the free-throw line, while Tokyo Big Blue only scored eleven points from the stripe. They outrebounded Tokyo Big Blue 48-22 including a 34-13 advantage in defensive rebounds. Koshigaya A. looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists comparing to just 13 passes made by Tokyo Big Blue's players. It was a great evening for American Kyle Richardson (201-91, college: Portland St.) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 30 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists (on 10-of-12 shooting from the field). His fellow American import Luke Evans (203-91, college: Cal.Baptist) helped adding 11 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists. Five Koshigaya A. players scored in double figures. American guard Andre Murray (188-87, college: Portland St.) responded with 18 points and forward Bryan Simpson (197-84) scored 6 points and 6 rebounds. There was no surprise when 10th ranked Iwate Big Bulls (3-13) were crushed at home by fourth ranked Saitama Broncos (7-9) 81-52 on Sunday. Saitama Broncos looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. It was a great evening for American Darnell Martin (198-91, college: CS Dominguez H.) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 18 points, 14 rebounds and 6 assists. His fellow American import center Joshua Crawford (211-88, college: Indiana St.) helped adding 19 points and 9 rebounds. Bahamas center Gjio Bain (211-85, college: S.Mississippi) responded with 19 points and 6 rebounds (on 9-of-10 shooting from the field) and Koji Nagata (180-81) scored 8 points and 7 rebounds. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Saitama Broncos maintains fourth place with 7-9 record. Iwate Big Bulls lost their sixth game in a row. They dropped to the eighth position with 13 games lost. Saitama Broncos will meet at home bottom-ranked Tokyo Big Blue (#10) in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Iwate Big Bulls will play against Kagoshima and hope to secure a win.

Sendai 89ers (B2 League) agreed terms with 33-year old guard Masaharu Kataoka (190-85). It is actually his comeback to Sendai as he has played here before.
