After 10 rounds played we can already see who rules in the B League D3 and who belongs to weaker ones. Here is the last round review presented by ESL.

The most crucial game of the last round was the first loss of undefeated Toyoda Gosei (2-1) on the court of third ranked Tokyo Cinq R. on Saturday night. Visitors were defeated by Tokyo Cinq R. 77-66. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Toyoda Gosei. They outrebounded Toyoda Gosei 48-24 including a 36-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. American forward Deangelo Kirkland (203-89, college: Columbus St., agency: Interperformances) had a double-double by scoring 22 points and 14 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Senegalese Bira Seck (204-90, college: Idaho, agency: Interperformances) chipped in 18 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side American Patrick Simon (203-92, college: Seattle Pacific) responded with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 10 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Tokyo Cinq R. maintains third position with 9-6 record having five points less than leader Koshigaya A. Toyoda Gosei at the other side dropped to the seventh place with one game lost. Tokyo Cinq R. are again looking forward to face Toyoda Gosei (#7) in Aichi in the next round. Toyoda Gosei will have a break next round.
B League D3 top team - Koshigaya A. (14-1) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed tenth ranked Tokyo Big Blue (0-3) 96-75. American Josh Peppers (201-85, college: Cent.Florida) notched 22 points and 6 rebounds (made all of his eight free throws) to lead the effort and Luke Evans supported him with 20 points and 10 rebounds. Even 21 points and 9 rebounds by forward Bryan Simpson (197-84) did not help to save the game for Tokyo Big Blue. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Koshigaya A. have an impressive 13-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 14-1 record. Tokyo Big Blue at the other side still closes the standings with three games lost. Koshigaya A.'s supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Tokyo Tokyo Big Blue.
The game in Iwate was also quite interesting. Fourth ranked Saitama Broncos (6-9) played at the court of 6th ranked Iwate Big Bulls (3-12). Saitama Broncos managed to secure a 9-point victory 66-57 on Saturday. Darnell Martin fired a double-double by scoring 29 points, 14 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Saitama Broncos' coach Samir StClair used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Tatsunori Fujie produced 17 points and 9 assists for lost side. Saitama Broncos maintains fourth position with 6-9 record. Iwate Big Bulls lost fifth consecutive game. They dropped to the bottom place with 12 games lost. Saitama Broncos will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Iwate Big Bulls will play again against Saitama Broncos (#4) and hope to secure a win.

There were no shocking results in the other games in round 10: Kagoshima won against Gifu Swoops on the opponent's court 74-64. Aisin AW unfortunately lost to Tokyo Excel. in a home game 77-81. Tokyo Excel. managed to beat Aisin AW on the road 84-80.



Iwate Big Bulls - Saitama Bron. 57-66

The game in Iwate was also quite interesting. Fourth ranked Saitama Broncos (6-9) played at the court of 6th ranked Iwate Big Bulls (3-12). Saitama Broncos managed to secure a 9-point victory 66-57 on Saturday. Saitama Broncos looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. American Darnell Martin (198-91, college: CS Dominguez H.) fired a double-double by scoring 29 points, 14 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Masaya Ueda (177-93) chipped in 5 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. Saitama Broncos' coach Samir StClair used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Guard Tatsunori Fujie (184-87) produced 17 points and 9 assists and Bahamas center Gjio Bain (211-85, college: S.Mississippi) added 9 points and 11 rebounds respectively for lost side. There was a minor upset when 5th ranked Gifu Swoops (4-11) were defeated at home by seventh ranked Kagoshima (4-11) 74-64 on Saturday. Point guard Atomu Yamada (179-98) fired 15 points and 4 assists for the winners. American center Antone Warren (208-93, college: Antelope Valley CC) chipped in 10 points and 9 rebounds. Five Kagoshima players scored in double figures. Ito Ryota produced 25 points and Canadian center Michael Allison (206-90, college: Maine) added 19 points and 8 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Kagoshima have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to fifth place, which they share with defeated Gifu Swoops. Gifu Swoops lost fifth consecutive game. Kagoshima will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Gifu Swoops will play again against Kagoshima (#6) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

The other American import forward Jordan Faison (201-94, college: Cal Poly Pomona) chipped in 22 points and 8 rebounds (on 10-of-11 shooting from the field). American forward Kevin Kotzur (203-89, college: St.Mary's, TX) produced 19 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists and Niyokwizera Yves added 12 points and 6 rebounds respectively for lost side. Four Aisin AW players scored in double figures. Tokyo Excel. have an impressive 14-game winning streak. They outrebounded Tokyo Big Blue 42-30 including 33 on the defensive glass. American Josh Peppers (201-85, college: Cent.Florida) notched 22 points and 6 rebounds (made all of his eight free throws) to lead the effort and the other American import Luke Evans (203-91, college: Cal.Baptist) supported him with 20 points and 10 rebounds.
