24-year old forward Jordan Faison (201-F-94) had an amazing evening in the last round for second-ranked Tokyo Excel. and receives a Interperformances B League D3 Player of the Week award for round 6.
He had a double-double of 30 points and 14 rebounds, while his team beat Kagoshima (#7, 1-9) 80-68. Tokyo Excel. maintains the 2nd position in Japanese B League D3. Tokyo Excel. has a very good season and are considered to have a run for the championship title. They improved their record to 9-1. In the team's last game Faison had a remarkable 75.0% from 2-point range. He turned to be Tokyo Excel.'s top player in his first season with the team. California State Polytechnica Un. Pomona graduate has very impressive stats this year. Faison is in league's top in points (4th best: 20.8ppg), rebounds (8th best: 10.3rpg), assists (7th best: 3.6apg) and averages solid 57.7% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Joe Wolfinger (216-C-85) of Tokyo Cinq R.. He is American center in his first season at Tokyo Cinq R.. In the last game Wolfinger recorded impressive double-double of 26 points and 14 rebounds. Of course he led Tokyo Cinq R. to another comfortable win outscoring Saitama Bron. (5-5) 92-70. It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the title. Tokyo Cinq R. consolidated its place in top 3 of the standings. His team's 5-5 record is not bad at all. Wolfinger is a newcomer at Tokyo Cinq R. and quickly became one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 19.2ppg (#8). He also registered 12.8 boards per game.

Third place about best performers goes to another Tokyo Excel.'s star - center Ryan Stephan (208-C-94). Stephan scored 23 points and grabbed eighteen rebounds (!!!). He was another key player of Tokyo Excel., helping his team with a 80-68 win against the lower-ranked Kagoshima (#7, 1-9). Many experts and fans count Tokyo Excel. as a contender for championship title. Another victory and another confirmation that they may be right. Just look at their record: 9 victories and only one lost game. Stephan has a great season in Japan. After 10 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 22.2ppg (2nd best) and rebounds with 14.1rpg (2nd best). He also has 1.1bpg and FGP: 61.4%.

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
