Zimbabwean-American Power forward Julian Mavunga (203-PF-90, agency: Pensack Sports) had an amazing evening in the last round for Kyoto Hannar., receiving a Interperformances Player of the Week award for round 11.
The 28-year old player had a double-double of 31 points and 15 rebounds, while his team edged out Fukuoka Rizing (#6, 1-11) 98-95. Kyoto Hannar. maintains the 3rd position in their group in Japanese B League. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Kyoto Hannar. will need more victories to improve their 7-5 record. In the team's last game Mavunga had a remarkable 71.4% from 2-point range. He turned to be Kyoto Hannar.'s top player in his first season with the team. Former Miami University, Ohio star has very solid stats this year. Mavunga is league's best passer with 8.5apg. Mavunga

The second best player in last round's games was 33-year old American power forward Nick Fazekas (211-F/C-85) of Kawasaki BT. Fazekas had a very good evening with a double-double of 32 points and 10 rebounds. It was enough for Kawasaki BT to edge slightly lower-ranked Osaka Evessa (#4, 4-7) 80-79. It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the top position in Central. Kawasaki BT consolidated its place in top 3 of the standings. His team's 6-5 record is not bad at all. Fazekas is one of the most experienced players at Kawasaki BT and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third on the list of top players last round was American forward Davante Gardner (203-PF-91) of league's top team Niigata Albirex. Gardner scored 29 points and grabbed eight rebounds. He was a key player of Niigata Albirex, leading his team to a 79-72 win against the lower-ranked Yokohama BC (#6, 3-8). Niigata Albirex confirms their top position in Central. Their record at this point is 7 victories and 4 lost games. Gardner has a great season in Japan. After 11 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 28.5ppg (best scorer) and rebounds with 10.3rpg (9th best).

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
