American Jordan Faison (201-F-94) had a great game in the last round for league's second-best Tokyo Excel. and that's him to receive a Interperformances B League D3 Player of the Week award for round 9 (Second Stage).
The 23-year old forward had a double-double of 23 points and eleven rebounds, while his team beat Kagoshima (#4, 8-10) 77-62. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. Tokyo Excel. maintains the 2nd position in Japanese B League D3. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier in Second Stage. Tokyo Excel. will need more victories to improve their 11-7 record. Faison turned to be Tokyo Excel.'s top player in his first season with the team. California State Polytechnica Un. Pomona graduate has very impressive stats this year. Faison is in league's top in points (9th best: 17.0ppg), rebounds (9th best: 8.6rpg) and averages solid 1.3bpg and 60.5% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was 30-year old American power forward Alex Jones (206-F/C-87) of league's best team Tokyo HT. Jones impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 25 points and 17 rebounds. Of course Tokyo HT cruised to a 78-69 relatively comfortable win over the lower-ranked Tokyo Cinq R. (#6, 1-17). Of course Tokyo HT still keep the league's top spot. His team lost just two games this Second Stage, while they won 16 matches. Jones is well-known by Tokyo HT fans and he already established his position as one of team's most reliable players.

The third best performed player last round was another Tokyo HT's star - American Joel James (208-F-94). James scored 19 points and grabbed nine rebounds. He was another key player of Tokyo HT, helping his team with a 89-65 easy win against the lower-ranked Tokyo Cinq R. (#6, 1-17). Tokyo HT confirms their top position in the standings. James has a very solid season. In 34 games in Japan he scored 8.8ppg. He also has 7.1rpg and FGP: 50.9%.

5. Ray Nixon (203-F-84) of Otsuka A. - 26 points, 11 rebounds and 3 assists

7. Darnell Martin (198-F-91) of Kagoshima - 19 points, 8 rebounds and 2 assists
8. Drew Martin (203-F-94) of Tokyo Cinq R. - 16 points, 10 rebounds and 3 assists
9. Daniel Bailey (196-G-90) of Tokyo Excel. - 14 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists
10. Kodai Takahashi (180-G-91) of Saitama Bron. - 21 points, 5 rebounds and 3 assists

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
