Chiba Jets advanced into the next round despite losing to Toshiba BT in regulation. American players dominated the game. Power forward Nick Fazekas (211-85, college: Nevada) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 32 points, 12 rebounds and 6 assists. Forward Josh Davis (203-91, college: San Diego St.) contributed with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 12 rebounds for the winners. Forward Michael Parker (202-81, college: Evergreen St.) replied with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 12 rebounds and power forward Gavin Edwards (206-88, college: Connecticut) added 11 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Chiba Jets. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.

Toyota Alvark's coach Luka Pavicevic allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. American Marcus Dove (206-85, college: Oklahoma St.) responded with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 18 rebounds (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field) and point guard Ito Tatsuya (173-94) scored 18 points and 4 assists.

Even a double-double of 13 points and 11 rebounds by American forward Justin Burrell (207-88, college: St.John's) did not help to save the game for Diamond Dolphins. International guard Shuto Ando (189-94) added 11 points for the guests. Diamond Dolphins' coach tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help.
