Nick Fazekas
American Power forward Nick Fazekas (211-F/C-85) had a very impressive game in the last round for Toshiba BT, receiving a Asia-basket.com Player of the Week award for round 5.
The 32-year old player was the main contributor (26 points, eight rebounds and three assists) to his team's victory, helping them to edge out Shiga L-Stars (#3, 1-3) 81-78. Toshiba BT is placed at 3rd position in their group in Japanese B League. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost that single game earlier this season. Toshiba BT will need more victories to improve their 3-1 record. Fazekas has many years of experience at Toshiba BT, through which he has constantly improved. Former The University of Nevada star has very solid stats this year. Fazekas is in league's top in points (2nd best: 26.8ppg), rebounds (4th best: 11.0rpg) and averages impressive 50.0% from behind 3-point line.

The second best player in last round's games was 26-year old American Davante Gardner (203-PF-91) of league's leader Niigata Albirex. Gardner had a very good evening with a double-double of 40 points and 14 rebounds. It was enough for Niigata Albirex to edge the lower-ranked Toyota Alvark (3-1) in overtime 97-95. It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the top position in Central. Toyota Alvark managed to tie with Niigata Albirex at the very top position in the standings. His team has currently 3-1 record. Gardner is well-known at Niigata Albirex and is a proven leader in his second season with the team. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 30.3ppg (#1). He also registered 8.3 boards per game.

Third on the list of top players last round was American forward Ira Brown (193-F-82) of league's second-best Ryukyu GK. Brown showcased his all-around game by recording 20 points, eleven rebounds (!!!) and six assists in the last round. He was a key player of Ryukyu GK, leading his team to a 85-81 win against the lower-ranked Nagoya DD (#5, 1-3). Ryukyu GK needs these victories very badly if they think about taking over top position in West. Their record at this point is 3 victories and 1 lost games. Brown has a great season in Japan. After only 4 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in assists with 5.0apg (6th best). Ira Brown has also Japanese passport and can play in the league with a status of domestic player.

The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
